Gault Race Management was founded by John and Anne Gault over 25 years ago as a weekend business, timing small to mid-size events statewide. Both had an extensive background in the running industry - John as an avid runner, founder and President of the Flint Riverbend Striders, founding member of the Crim Festival of Races, and President of the Michigan Association of USA Track and Field - Anne as former Executive Director of the Crim Festival off Races and Officer/Race Director of the Flint Riverbend Striders.
John and Anne were among the first in the country to use transponder timing (ChampionChip in 1995, followed by ChronoTrack in 2008) and their company quickly grew to one of the largest timing and scoring comapnies in the country, timing up to 500,000 runners annually. The Gault's built a reputation for providing the highest level of customer service, using state-of-the-art technology to produce quality race timing and results.
In March, 2016, Gault Race Management joined the EnMotive division of RAM Racing in an acquisition that created the largest timing business in the United States. Through its EnMotive division, Chicago-based RAM Racing already provided professional race timing services to more than 250,000 people, covering its popular nationwide Hot Chocolate Race Series and another nine races around Chicago. With the GRM roster of over 200 races and 500,000 participants across the country, we have a combined capacity of over 750,000 runners and walkers nationwide.
RAM Racing isn't about fun runs. For the last 15 years, we have been about people having fun while racing and one of the most critical components of that is timing which we provide through EnMotive, RAM Racing's suite of technology products.
As our races continue to grow and become even more popular, we needed to make sure we supplemented our existing technology platform and man-power abilities to accommodate the numbers of people who run our races and measure themselves against the clock. For the last 25 years, GRM has been known for their quality timing services and ability to provide the best customer care to races of all sizes. Combining the event portfolios and operations for RAM and GRM under one umbrella can only benefit our race partners and our participants.
Anne and John Gault, will continue to be involved with the implementation of the timing systems for EnMotive, ensuring the continued success of the company. EnMotive will utilize what has become known as, "The Gault Way," a complete process that guarantees the highest level of service, quality and integrity. It is defined by the seamless integration of timing and race production, from coordintating participant education to the utilization of state-of-the-art technology to ensure accuracy.
The addition of GRM was the second major operational shift for RAM Racing in 2016. In March, the company announced it had taken over Fleet Feet Sports - Chicago's racing division and their Signature Races (The Soldier Field 10 MIle, The Big Ten 10K, Rudolph Ramble, Run MAg Mile, Pumpkins in the Park, and Ravenswood 5K) while divesting itself of its Deerfield Running Away Multisport retail store.
