2021 Bark & Brew 5K

Leader Dogs for the Blind, along with presenting sponsor Chief Financial Credit Union, are excited to announce the Bark & Brew 5K. Join us as we kick-off the start to summer with a beautiful 5K course through Rochester Municipal Park. Proceeds raised during the Bark & Brew 5K will support the programs & services Leader Dogs for the Blind provides to people who are blind or visually impaired each year, free of charge.

Each participant will receive a swag bag with a race t-shirt, medal, race bib, Leader Dog face mask and a beverage coupon. After completing your 5K - head over to Griffin Claw Brewing Company in Rochester Hills or Birmingham to redeem your complimentary beverage!

Can’t make it to Rochester on race day? 
No problem!  Join us virtually on June 5 no matter where you’re located and share your experience on social media using the hashtag #barkandbrew5K!

Want to take your Bark & Brew 5K experience to the next level? Consider fundraising along the way!  Participants who fundraise for Leader Dog through the Bark & Brew 5K and meet certain goals will receive special prizes, including a plush Leader Dog puppy, a Leader Dog t-shirt and Leader Dog Braille travel mug!

After completing your 5K – head over to Griffin Claw Brewing Company in Rochester Hills or Birmingham to redeem your complimentary beverage! Whether you are running or not, make plans to visit our generous partners at Griffin Claw who will donate a percentage of all sales to Leader Dog on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Race starts and finishes in Rochester Municipal Park, with the course winding around Paint Creek Trail and sub-trails.

Event is capped at 400 participants - register today!

Due to course limits, we are offering four (4) waves to choose from. Each wave is capped at 100 participants and starts every 30-minutes beginning at 8:30 AM.

Packet Pick-Up:
Available on race day at the Rochester Municipal Park Pavilion from 7:00 - 10:00 AM.

*Please note that dogs other than service animals are not allowed on the race course. Puppy raisers wishing to run the in-person race with their Future Leader Dog can join the final wave of the race with their FLD.
